a lovely well-inked impression on soft wove paper incised in the plate are the initials SPOG and the date 4.VI.21; SPOG was the acronym for the group of friends: Slevogt, Pankok, Orlik and Grunberg. Grunberg was a dentist and an amateur but very accomplished artist
Max Slevogt (1868 - 1932), Orlik's lifelong friend, was a leading German painter, print-maker and illustrator
