Although not as extensive as Orlik’s Japanese oeuvre, his depictions of Chinese, Ceylonese, Korean and other Eastern subjects are certainly diverse, ranging from landscapes to portraits. He complained in correspondence that his stay in China was too short for the amount of work he would have liked to have done there.
